Hello,
Thank you all for the groundswell of support over the last couple of days, it is really appreciated and we are ready to fight for you.
Today’s bargaining meeting was held with two Apple Store team and one Union representative.
We expressed our concern with the pace Apple is going about the bargaining process, further emphasised by the scheduling of the next meeting within the next 7 days. We told Apple that team have not been given ample opportunity to properly read the draft and raise questions or concerns with either Apple or their appointed representatives.
Apple has said that it doesn’t want to rush the process and is committed to a fair and transparent bargaining process — I guess we’ll see if they mean it.
While we haven’t be able to raise specific concerns yet, we are keen to raise them at the first opportunity. We are working closely with the ASU and RAFFWU, as well as Retail and AppleCare teams Australia wide.
If you haven’t already joined a union, I strongly encourage you to do so.1 This will provide greater bargaining power to the people that are experts in the field.

Union membership is a right you have under law. Union membership is confidential. Apple cannot pressure you or retaliate against you if you join a union. Union membership dues are 100% tax deductible.
Together with the support of the unions we plan to hold meetings in the coming days and weeks where we hope as many of you will attend so that you can share your concerns and we can work to inform you of the process and what we need to do together.
Information about these meetings will be communicated here, as well as by the unions, so make sure you join a union or subscribe below. Once again, I ask you to share the above with your colleagues and make sure they know that wheels are turning and that we will continue to need their support.
Thank you again for you support.
In solidarity,
Your fellow team
If you join a union, you can nominate them as your bargaining representative even if you have already nominated someone else — you can switch your representation.
